Book Printing UK Refund & Cancellation Policy
Book Printing UK products are made to order and customised
to each customer’s specification. As such, cancellation rights under the
Consumer Contracts Regulations may not apply once work has commenced. Returns
and refunds can therefore only be accepted where an order is deemed faulty or
damaged. Any faults, damages, or shortages must be reported within 30 working
days of delivery.
Your purchase includes both the final product and any
services carried out in relation to your order, including file preparation,
amendments, pre-production work, and delivery costs. While certain services may
not be separately itemised, they form part of the overall contract and order
value. If a refund is requested after work has commenced on your supplied
files, we reserve the right to retain a charge for works carried out.
Once design amendments and/or proofing work have been
completed, these service fees become non-refundable.
If any physical goods are later found to be defective, any
refund or replacement will apply to the manufacturing element of the order
only, unless the issue resulted directly from the design service provided.
If an issue arises with an order and a refund is agreed, any
completed design, amendment, proofing, or printed proof services included
within the order will be retained and deducted from the refund value, as these
services are non-refundable once carried out. As standard, the following
charges apply:
• Word document fee: £60
• PDF fee: £30
• Printed proof fee:
o Paperback: £15
o Hardback: £25
Refunds
For claims made after product despatch, customers may be
required to return the products to Book Printing UK for investigation. Upon
receipt, the products will be inspected, and we will confirm whether the issue
is deemed to be a manufacturing defect or fault.
Where an error or defect is found to be the responsibility
of Book Printing UK, we reserve the right to offer a replacement, reprint,
repair, or refund as appropriate. Any approved refund will be made using the
original payment method and processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned
goods or agreement of cancellation.
If the investigation determines that the products are not
defective, the items may be returned to the customer.
Customer-approved proofs are deemed accepted for print
production, and Book Printing UK cannot accept responsibility for errors
identified after approval.
This Returns and Refunds Policy should be read in
conjunction with our Terms & Conditions. In the event of any conflict, the
Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
