'The Company' means Book Printing Uk and the customer is the company or person to whom this document is addressed. The goods whether instalment or any part of including services that the company has supplied in accordance with the conditions.
"Carrier" means any person or business contracted by us to carry Goods from us to you, whether all or part of the distance.
"Our Website" means the entire computing hardware and software installation that is or supports Our Website/s.
"Goods" means any of the Goods we offer for sale.
"Content" means any material in any form published on Our Website by us or any third party with our consent.
Acceptance of order
Orders are accepted by BPUK subject to the conditions of sale as printed. No order submitted to Bonacia Ltd shall be deemed to be accepted by Bonacia Ltd unless and until confirmed in writing (either by invoice submitted with goods delivered or otherwise) by Bonacia Ltd.
Quotes and Confirmation
Any quote is valid for a period of three hundred and sixty five days. Quotes are only valid for the exact requirements requested in the quote. Any alterations to an order made after a quote is accepted invalidate the quote. Quotes are not considered final until Book Printing UK has received and approved the customer's files. In the event that a customer places and pays for an order online, without Book Printing UK approving the files, subsequent charges may be implemented and you will be advised accordingly.
Variation on costs
Current costs of production are subject to change from time to time, customers will be informed.
Bound or pdf proofs are available for customer approval, therefore, It is the customers responsibility to proof read, edit and re supply files if applicable. If the customer requests Book Printing Uk to make amendments, corrections or changes to style, an extra charge may be applicable and will still require customer proof approval. No responsibility or liability will be accepted by Book Printing Uk for (i) Any errors after the proof has been approved by the customer (ii) Any errors in layout, spelling or grammar, made by our designers and has been proof approved by the customer.
Customers can receive colour proofs to review and approve. Until the proof is authorised or new files are received, no additional work will be carried out. Book Printing UK will not be responsible for errors missed by the customer at this proofing stage. Requests for changes must be made in writing or email to avoid any errors. The turnaround time for a proof will be approximately 5 - 7 working days.
Because equipment does vary, i.e. paper, inks and other conditions between colour proofing and production pressroom operations, a 'pleasing colour' variation may occur between the printed proof and the final job - this is to be expected. When such variation occurs, it will be considered acceptable.
To provide a faster turnaround, BPUK can supply customers with a PDF proof. Please be aware that PDF proofs may not provide accurate colour representation of the final work.
Book Printing UK recommends that if a customer is having any colour work printed, they should order a hard copy proof. If a hard copy proof is not requested the customer will be liable for errors.
Book Printing UK products are "made to order", tailored to each customer's requirements, therefore we can only accept returns if the order is faulty or damaged. Faulty or damaged items must be reported within 7 working days of delivery.

Please ensure that you own the copyright to any images that are being printed in your book.
Bonacia or any representatives will not take any financial responsibility for costs incurred by photos being reproduced within any of their products.
If images are taken by private photographers who own the copyright please ask permission before using them in your book
Book Printing UK will charge the customer value added tax where applicable.
Experimental work carried out at customers request will be charged at the agreed rate.
Deliveries will be made by post / a carrier instructed by us to the UK mainland address stipulated in your order. You must ensure that someone is present to accept delivery. Deliveries overseas will be charged accordingly.
It is the customer's responsibility to make inspection of goods received. In the event of a claim due to damage or partial loss of goods in transit must be made in writing to Book Printing UK within 7 days from dispatch.
Foreign taxes, duties and import restrictions
If you are not in the UK, we have no knowledge of, and no responsibility for, the laws in your country.
You are responsible for goods purchased which you attempt to import and for the payment of import duties and taxes of any kind levied in your country.
Any credit or replacement stock shall only be considered if such a claim relates to any shortage, damage, defect in condition, failure to correspond with order or non-delivery and if claim is received in writing at the Bonacia Ltd address shown on the invoice within 7 days of the date of delivery of goods to the customer (or, in the case of non-delivery, of the date of the invoice). If claims are not submitted within such time limits Bonacia Ltd shall have no liability in respect of such claims and the customer shall be bound to pay the price as if the goods had been delivered in accordance with the agreement. If work is deemed to be defective the customer must inform Book Printing Uk to enable us to arrange collection for inspection. If the work is found to be defective the work will be rectified at an agreed timescale.
Paper used is subject to changes in temperature and humidity. Printed paper products may from time to time exhibit curling/waving in text pages and cover. Generally this may take up to 7 days to settle to a natural state. Books should not be placed on a concrete or similar floor, against external walls as this will expose them to moisture or condensation. A dry, clean environment is recommended.
Payment options are 50% when placing order with the remaining balance due upon confirmation that you are print ready. For goods supplied, payment must be received within the payment term stated on the invoice (starting from the 'invoice sent' date), unless a longer payment term has been agreed in writing. If the customer fails to make payment on the due date then without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to Bonacia Ltd, Bonacia Ltd shall make contact with the customer to retrieve payment and also be entitled to charge the customer interest (both before and after any judgement) on the amount unpaid, at a rate of 8% per annum above Bank of England base rate from time to time, until full payment is made. The customer may not withhold payment of any invoice or other amount due to Bonacia Ltd by reason of any right to offset or counter-claim which the customer may have or allege to have for any reason whatsoever.
Should work be cancelled at the customer's request Book Printing Uk will be entitled to payment for works already completed or materials ordered under special requests.
Card Payments will appear on your bank statement as Bonacia Ltd
If you are a citizen of the European Union, and you bought the Goods as a Consumer, you may cancel your order, however, work carried out from files supplied and if the process has begun will be subject to charge. Proofs received will also be subject to charge. The option to cancel your order is not available if the Goods have been printed, in production or are made or altered to your specification.
Every effort is made to carry out and fulfil works, however variations may occur as a result of labour, materials, supplies, fire, flood, strike, drought or war.
Book printing Uk shall not produce material which is considered illegal or libellous and shall not be indemnified by the customer in respect of claims, costs or expenses arising from alleged libellous products, infringement of copyright, design or patent produced upon the customer's request.
Book Printing Uk retains title on all goods until full payment has been received.
When we communicate with you we do so by email. You agree that email communications are contractually binding in the same way as properly signed and dated paper sent by post.
Where we provide goods or services without specific charge to you, then it (or they) is deemed to be provided free of charge, and not to be associated with any other goods or service for which a charge is made. Accordingly, there is no contractual or other obligation upon us in respect of those goods or service.
Nothing in this agreement or on Our Website shall confer on any third party any benefit under the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
If any of these terms is at any time held by any jurisdiction to be void, invalid or unenforceable, then it shall be treated as changed or reduced, only to the extent minimally necessary to bring it within the laws of that jurisdiction and to prevent it from being void and it shall be binding in that changed or reduced form. Subject to that, each provision shall be interpreted as severable and shall not in any way affect any other of these terms.
No waiver by us, in exercising any right, power or provision in this agreement shall operate as a waiver of any other right or of that same right at a future time; nor shall any delay in exercise of any power or right be interpreted as a waiver.
In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any contract between you and us, then you agree to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.
We are not liable for any breach of our obligations resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control including strikes of our own employees.
We prioritise the safety and well-being of out staff. Book Printing UK as a division of Bonacia Ltd reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who harrasses or offends anyone employed by Book Printing UK or Bonacia Ltd.
In order to protect our brand and reputation Book Printing UK, as a division of Bonacia Ltd, reserve the right to refuse service if we consider ourselves to be unable to fufil an order or request to a standard deemed acceptable by us as a print provider.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England. This agreement shall not be governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the application of which is hereby expressly excluded.
We are extremely committed in the protection of your privacy and confidentiality. We understand that all users of our site are quite rightly concerned to know that their data will not be used for any purpose unintended by them, and will not fall into the hands of a third party. Our policy is both specific and strict. If you think our policy falls short of your expectations or that we are failing to abide by our policy, do please tell us.
We are constantly vigilant for credit card or other fraud. We report all charge backs to a credit reference agency. If you have any reason to seek the return of money paid, please contact us rather than your credit card issuer.
Information may be unlawfully available to hackers and snoopers. We take no responsibility for this. The risk is no different from a similar risk in a bricks and mortar establishment.
