Here at Book Printing UK we understand how important your book is to you, and you may have many questions to ask before you decide to go ahead wth the printing of your work. Do you produce books in sizes other than A5 and A4?
We can produce books in most sizes. For a book of 210mm high by 148mm wide or smaller the A5 book price applies. For any book larger than 210mm high x 143mm wide up to a maximum of 297mm high x 210mm wide the A4 book price applies.
What kind of binding options do you offer?
We offer:
Perfect binding: The same bind as a paperback book you can find in a bookshop.
Stitch binding: Double staple bind, generally used for small booklets.
Wire binding: Generally used for reference books and cook books.
The maximum width we can perfect or stitch bind is 210mm. The maximum width we can wire bind to is 420mm.
Can you supply hardback books?
We can supply hardbacks in quantities of 25 copies or more.
How many books should I order?
As we are a digital book printing company there are very little set up costs involved in printing your books. Because of this we are able to keep the cost per copy the same to you whether you order one copy, or one thousand copies.
How do I send my files to you?
You can send files of up to 10MB by email. For larger files you can either use an FTP client such as www.YouSendIt.com or post them to us on a CD or memory stick.
Do you check my files for errors?
All files are checked for any obvious layout errors, but we cannot be held responsible for any problems that arise due to files being set out incorrectly. If we do spot any errors we will either rectify the problem or contact you to ask you to make the changes and submit new files.
Can I see a printed copy of my book before the full order goes to print?
We always send a proof copy of your job for checking before we run the full order. If you are having less than 25 copies printed, we will email you a PDF proof. If you are having 25 copies or more, we will send you a printed proof.
Do I have to see a proof copy or can I send my files for you to print straight away
We are happy to skip the proofing process for urgent orders, but cannot be held responsible for any errors that may arise due to the files being set out incorrectly.
When do I pay for my order?
We ask for 50% payment before we start work on your order. The deposit payable once we have checked through your files to make sure that they are usable. The remaining 50% is payable before despatch of your completed order.
Do you credit accounts?
We do offer 30 day credit accounts for businesses and organisations subject to financial status.
How do I make payment?
Payment can be made by either credit / debit card on 01733 898102, Paypal using
payments@bonacia.co.uk, or by cheque or bank transfer.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Our turnaround times are 3-4 days for sending a proof copy (if required) and a further 7-10 working days for delivery of order after sign off of proof.
How is my order delivered?
We use DPD for almost all book deliveries. You will need to be at the delivery address to sign for your books when they arrive.
Do you keep copies of my book files for future orders?
We will keep a copy of your files in our archive for a minimum of 2 years.
