Booklet binding, also referred to as staple binding or saddle stitching is used for a wide range of different product types: Brochures, Catalogues, Newsletters, Magazines, Price Lists, Instruction Manuals, Theatre and Sports Programmes for example.

Full colour or Black & White booklet printing?

We can produce both full colour and black & white printed booklets. Black & white printed booklets cost less than the full colour version, however, full colour printed booklets look more professional. You have to ask yourself what is more important, budget or quality? All our printed booklets will be of good digital print quality, but full colour printed booklets have the WOW factor!

What size should you have your printed booklets?

We can create your printed booklets in the following sizes:

Landscape booklet printing; the width is greater than the height

Portrait booklet printing; the height is greater than the width

How many pages can be included?

Printed booklets can have anything from 4 to 48 inside pages. They are made up of folded and stitched sheets of paper. An A5 booklet for example is made up of A4 sheets that are then folded in half and then staple bound. Each folded sheet creates 4 pages, so you will need to design your booklet insides in multiples of 4 pages.

If your booklet has more than 48 pages you will need to consider a different type of binding, such as Perfect Binding or Coil Binding.

How do I design my booklets for printing?

We prefer to receive booklet artwork as individual pages within a document, rather than double page spreads. For design and layout advice, please call us on 01733 898102.
